Privacy policy
What becomes of the information you send us, and what the site records — or does not record.
This page is translated as a courtesy. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
Data controller
Data collected on this site is collected by LA FERME MODÈLE, Société à responsabilité limitée (SARL) — Route du Tréport, lieu-dit La Ferme Modèle, 76260 Eu (RCS Dieppe 329 652 986).

What data is collected
The site has two points of collection: the contact form and the hotel’s online booking module (see below). The form gathers your name, your e-mail address, the subject of your enquiry and your message. The telephone number is optional and is only requested so that we can call you back if you wish. For an event enquiry, the form also offers, optionally, the type of event, the preferred date, the number of guests and whether accommodation is needed: this information is used solely to prepare your quote.
Outside the booking module, browsing the site involves no profiling and no recording of individual behaviour; the only measurement is a cookie-free audience count, described below.
Why, and on what basis
This data is used solely to handle and answer your enquiry. It is neither sold, nor rented, nor used for advertising purposes.
The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual steps taken at your request when you contact us about a stay, a service or an event, and the estate’s legitimate interest in replying to its correspondents in other cases.
Who has access
Your messages are sent to the team at Domaine de Joinville.
Two technical providers are involved: Hostinger International Ltd (61 Lordou Vironos str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus) for hosting the site, and Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France) for delivering the form’s e-mails. Both providers are established in the European Union (in France and in Cyprus). Neither uses your data for any purpose of its own.
Online booking
Hotel rooms are booked through a module provided by Namastay, our booking engine provider. The module only loads when you click a “book” button: until you do, no data is sent to Namastay.
When you book, the information needed for your stay (identity, contact details, dates, number of guests, special requests) is collected by the module and passed on to the Domaine in order to carry out your booking — this is the legal basis for the processing. Card details are handled by the module’s payment provider and are neither seen nor stored by the Domaine.
When it opens, the module sets its own cookies, including Namastay’s analytics tools (Hotjar, Heap, Mixpanel). Details of this processing are given in Namastay’s privacy policy.
How long it is kept
Enquiries received through the form are kept for 3 years from the last contact, then deleted. Data required to meet accounting or legal obligations is kept for the period laid down by the applicable regulations.
Cookies and trackers
As long as you do not open the booking module, this site sets no cookies. It uses no advertising network, no share button loaded from a social network, and no typeface called from a third-party server — the fonts are hosted with the site.
A single piece of information is stored in your browser’s session memory: a marker recording that you have already opened the site, so that the welcome animation plays only once. It contains no identifier, cannot be used to recognise you, and disappears when the tab is closed.
The site measures its traffic with Umami, a statistics tool hosted by the agency that built it: it sets no cookie, records no IP address and does not follow you from one site to another. Only aggregated data is consulted (page views, origin, device type) to improve the site, on the basis of the Domaine’s legitimate interest. It is kept for 25 months at most. You can object at any time:

Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, as well as the right to object to and restrict its processing. You may exercise these rights by post at the registered office address given above, providing proof of identity.
If, after contacting us, you consider that your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07 — cnil.fr.
Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Data submitted through the form is not stored on the site’s server: it is forwarded by e-mail to the estate’s mailbox.
Changes to this policy
This policy describes how the site works as at its last update. It will be revised if new processing is introduced, in particular if a newsletter or another analytics tool is added.
